Nanny Listing Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Nanny profiles help Florida families discover adults offering ongoing, regularly scheduled care in the family’s home and contact them directly. This directory is for nannies, not babysitters. One-time, occasional, and date-night babysitting services are not accepted; full-time and part-time nanny arrangements are welcome. Preschool Portal is an informational directory. We do not employ nannies, arrange placements, process care payments, or guarantee a provider’s suitability.

Who may apply

You must be at least 18, use your own account, submit your own accurate profile, and offer care in the family’s home. If you provide care in your own home, use the appropriate childcare program category and confirm applicable requirements with Florida DCF or your local licensing authority.

What families see

Published profiles display your chosen display name, public phone, service area, experience, availability, rates, languages, description, website, and reported qualifications. Your full contact name and administrative email are kept private unless you choose to include them in public profile text. We do not request your home address. Do not include children’s identities, family addresses, medical records, or other private information.

Self-service listings and parent responsibility

Nanny profiles and updates publish without a Preschool Portal review or approval step. Information, including CPR, first aid, experience, and references, is reported by the nanny.

Preschool Portal does not endorse or recommend any individual listed. We do not perform fingerprinting or background checks. Each parent is responsible for researching the individual’s background, checking references and qualifications, and deciding whether that person is suitable before arranging care.

Before arranging care

Families should independently confirm identity, references, current training, experience, availability, and rates, and arrange appropriate background screening before hiring. Discuss duties, schedules, compensation, and expectations directly with the nanny. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of safe or suitable care.

Updates and removals

Keep your information accurate. Saving profile changes publishes the updates without a review or approval step. We may request changes, suspend or remove inaccurate or inappropriate profiles, or close an application. To request help or removal, email enrollment@preschoolportal.com.

This policy governs nanny listings. Childcare program claims follow our separate provider listing policy. Our terms and privacy policy also apply.
